New Delhi: An expert committee of the Central Drugs Authority of India on Thursday recommended that the Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, be given a mix of two COVID-19 vaccines, Covaccine and Covishield. Clinical trials should be allowed. Official sources have given this information.
The source said that the purpose of the study is to find out whether two different doses of vaccine can be administered for a complete vaccination of a person i.e. one vaccine should be given with Covaccine and the other vaccine should be given with Covishield.< /p>
The expert group also discussed the application made by Biological-E to conduct Phase II/III clinical trials of its COVID-19 vaccine on a population aged five to 17 years.
